Mentoring

Panhurst will mentor apprentices by utilizing on-the-job holistic mentoring. The key element of Panhurst Farms’ operation is holistic mentoring which will train and equip individuals from within to support the mission of Panhurst Farms to “raise up people and produce”. We believe healthy people make more faithful, capable, and efficient employees and community change agents. Mentoring options will be tailored depending on relevancy and the needs of the individual by selecting from skill-set areas like the following:

  • First Aid and Emergency Response
  • Business Development and Planning
  • Personal and Leadership Development
  • Integrity in Life and Business
  • Job Safety and Preventative Maintenance
  • Stewardship and Management
  • Family and Community Health and Nutrition
  • Marketing Locally and Abroad
  • Interpersonal Relationships and Team Building
  • Conflict Management
  • Technical Training and Support
  • Quality Control and Improvement
  • International Perspectives and Awareness
  • Public Relations/Customer Service

These skill-set areas will be learned in a variety of settings including groups, one-on-one, 1-week on-site field days, seminars, special training conferences, workshops, existing programs in country, and specialized courses. Teachers and professionals will also be brought in from within Morocco or from abroad who specialize in given fields.

We will also empower Moroccans to mentor other Moroccans. The Panhurst Farms mentoring program requires each department to train an apprentice in his/her given area of work/expertise. Having begun the mentoring, the new apprentice will mentor another during his/her apprenticeship.
